Winter is coming and we’ve finally met and greet the Philippines pride and ice athletes representative on their way to the 2017 Southeast Asian Games this August 19-30, 2017.
The Philippines debuts its athletes for figure skating, ice hockey, and speed skating in the first SEA Games to host winter sports.
Joining the roster of athletes to represent the Philippines at the 29th SEA Games are figure skaters Samantha Cabiles, Jules Alpe, Alisson Perticheto, and Michael Martinez; ice hockey’s Team Pilipinas; and the country’s first speed skater, Kathryn Magno.
Winter Olympian Michael Martines leads fellow figure skaters into hopeful victory as they show off their new programs cor the 2017-2018 skating season in the Southeast Asian Games. Lone speed skater Kathryn Magno comes from a fresh win as the 2016 Tri-Series South East Asia Cup gold medalist.
Also gunning for the gold is Team Pilipinas – the country’s team for ice hockey. This newly-formed team is a promising bet and has already won the bronze in their first competitive tournament, the Asian Winter Games.
“It gives us great pleasure to see oir country, much more our home-grown athletes, participate in such a well-renowned event,” says Edgar Tejero, President of Lifestyle Entertainment, Inc. “We at SMLEI have been long supporters of our ice athletes, and we are proud to be part of their journey towards international success.”
