Anvil Awards is the oldest and prestigious award giving body by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) held annually, since its inception in 1963, to recognize exemplary performance of select public relations nominees.
The ANVIL is the symbol of Excellence in Public Relations. It is awarded to outstanding public relations programs, tools and, now, practitioners after careful screening by select PR professionals and judging by a distinguished multi-sectoral jury.
Any public relations program or tool implemented between October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016 was eligible for the 52nd ANVIL AWARDS.
Held last Friday, March 10, 5 PM from the Rizal Ballroom, Makati Shangri-La Manila, the much awaited 52nd Anvil Awards of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines awarded top firms in different categories under Publications, Multimedia & Digital, and Exhibits & Special Events.
Top firms won multiple awards at the 52nd Anvil Awards
The award-giving body is considered as the “Oscars” of the local PR industry. Emerging winners include Voyager Innovations, Inc. (5 metals), Strategic Works, Inc. (20 metals), Grupo Agatep (8 metals including awards for UnionBank, Emirates, and Grab Philippines), Ogilvy Public Relations Manila – Pulse Communications, Ripple8 (18 metals), ABS-CBN Corporation, PLDT, and Rappler. Smart Communications received 17 Gold Anvils and Company of the Year citation. Meralco bagged PR Team of the Year award. Resorts World Manila won Silver Anvil Award for PR Tools- Multimedia/Digital/Online Video/
The relatively newcomer in the industry, PageOne Media, won Agency of the Year besting top agencies this year. PageOne bagged the Platinum Anvil – the best of the best trophy for PR tools. PageOne and their clients, brought home a total of 20 Gold and Silver metals in the PR Programs and PR tools categories.
