We’ve been to Vietnam a couple of times already and when it comes to food experience, Vietnamese cuisine has something fresh to offer for foodies who want to try out a healthy and delectable dishes found in this Southeast Asian country.
And guests of Sofitel Philippines Plaza Manila, specifically Spiral, didn’t have to go that far to experience wellness in an epicurean journey from one of Southeast Asia’s healthiest culinary havens brought by Vietnamese Master Chef Le Minh Quang. Chef Quang flew in from Hotel Royal Hoi-An by the MGallery over the week until the weekend to bring his best sellers and appetizing menus in Spiral. Chef Quang prepared some of his signature dishes enhancing the rich selection of the multi-awarded dining haven, Spiral last October 10 until October 16.
Chef Quang pumped up the ante with a Vietnamese Cooking Class where guests were taught how to whip up traditional Vietnamese dishes in an exclusive cooking class featuring Chef Quang’s own recipes. The class ran from 4 PM to 5 PM with rate set at Php1,500 per person.
The cooking class was something everyone should look out to whenever Spiral holds this kind of event. We were fortunate that we we were invited to to this class and learned how to prepare Fresh Spring Roll with Prawn and Herb, Green Mango Salad With Grilled Calamari, Vietnamese Pancake, and Braised Fish in Claypot. The last one was our favorite.
These and more were presented when Chef Quang arrived on a Monday afternoon at Sofitel Philippines Plaza Manila.
And on the 16th, guests were invited to embark in a gastronomic journey featured at Spiral.
