My Bebe Love is a rom-com film and a love-hate relationship story of two families, Vic and Ai-Ai‘s.
Initially, it was only Alden who was originally cast in the movie until Direk Joey saw the potential of Maine who successfully delivers cute antics for noontime TV show Eat Bulaga‘s Kalye Serye.
Maine’s rose to fame was her ability to Dubsmash popular TV and movie lines, including songs, making her Philippines Online Dubsmash Queen – a title given by her fans all her and abroad.
Direk Joey insisted on including Maine to the cast of My Bebe Love believing in the mantra of ‘if not now, when?‘. Direk Joey capitalizes the popularity of AlDub to make My Bebe Love more exciting, fun, and entertaining to watch.
“I don’t believe in (acting) workshop (for Maine). She is so natural and it’s easy for her to learn acting along the way,” said Direk Joey during the My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore Bloggers Conference, when asked on how they prepared Maine for the movie considering this is her first and major break on the big screen.
“She (Maine) and Alden blended well, on and off the screen all throughout our shooting.”

Some of the media presenr during the blogcon teases Alden on the status of their relationship. People are curious if their new found friendship will lead to romance, someday.
“Let’s see. I’m single and she’s single,” Alden honestly answered the question if there’s a possibility of courting the young lady.
Meanwhile, Bossing Vic welcomes the idea of including the AlDub love-team to the movie and promises a lot of new acts will be seen from his and Ai-Ai’s characters.
