I was scheduled for a non-immigrant US Visa interview at the US Embassy Manila in the early morning of April 30. The need to arrive there on time was my main concern so I had to look out for a place to stay, somewhere near, to make sure I will not come late for my interview that day. I was supposed to go and join the Guam Micronesia Island Fair this year.
I started asking around and my friend recommended Amax Inn Makati, best budget hotel in Makati serving since 2006.
Knowing that some of my friends have already stayed at Amax Inn Makati, I made a reservation arrangement coursed by my friend and we made a deal in exchange for my review of the hotel.
Actually, this entry is already one month due after I checked-in for the overnight stay in Amax Inn Makati.
Nevertheless, I still believe that this article will still provide helpful and useful information for those of you who are looking for a budget hotel accommodation and at the same time, you’ll find Amax Inn Makati very accessible as it puts you in prime location, whereas in Makati area.
Considered as a budget hotel, 3-star accommodation, Amax Inn Makati started in 2006 and has been serving satisfied clients and guests in the past up until today. It’s a condo-like 4-storey hotel located in Santillan Street, one of the main pathways going in and out of Pasong Tamo.
Amax Inn Makati has a total of 42 rooms and one canteen area perfect for coffee and tea time. The canteen serves Intercontinental dishes, American and Filipino breakfasts. They only have limited choices but it’s still perfect if you don’t want to go out the hotel. You can call the main reception to have your food delivered in your room. Otherwise, you can still go out of the hotel and search for other food outlets like carinderia in the neighborhood or fast food chains along Pasong Tamo area. There are quite a number of convenience stores nearby if you need some fix in the middle of the night.
Choices of room varies from Single Room, Studio Room, Large Family, Single Deluxe, Premier, Studio Deluxe Room, and Studio Premier Room with room rates for as low as PhP 2,000 only! It has the basic amenities like bath and shower essentials, bath tub, LED TV, air-con, telephone, kettle, and complementary snacks aside from the mini-bar available inside the room.
I was booked in one of the Premier Rooms and it has all the things I need for the overnight stay.
If you’re the type of person who’ll just need a bed space, Amax Inn Makati also offers room sharing for only PhP 408.
Amax Inn Makati also offers Rooms w/o Breakfast with Daily and Weekly Room Rates available upon checking-in.
Although the location is also known as one of the busiest area, it’s surprising to know that you’ll still enjoy a relaxing stay experience in your room. Amax Inn Makati has a 24-hour room service, multilingual staff, shuttle service, and free parking. You can inquire also for pick-up and drop-off services to and from the airport.
With these features, Amax Inn Makati is a perfect place for backpackers, for business travelers, and like me who just needed an overnight stay to get to the US Embassy early on time.
From checking-in to their room personnel, Amax Hotel’s staff are well-trained and are courteously polite.
Going to Amax Inn Makati is also easy. From Buendia, it’s just a swift turn to Pasong Tamo, heading to Makati Cinema Square, and turn right to and another right turn at Santillan Street. It is only about 20 minutes from the airport via the Skyway. Walking distance to malls, hospital, grocery and church.
For these features I’m giving Amax Inn Makati 5/5 rating for the exemplary hotel experience! The next time I’ll be needed for an early appointment, Amax Inn Makati will always be on my top list for my place to stay in Makati.
