The competition had a head-to-head results between Apple Delleva and Carmella Ravanilla, who both landed on the same spot just before McJim Dreams Get Real Season 2 winner was announced on stage inside the fan-crowded venue of Music Museum last November 9.
The result, a product of manager/producer/pr marketing guru Chris Cahilig, went on to reveal the lone winner for the night as the crowd anticipated who among Apple and Carmella should carry the title, to which a PhP 100,000 cash prize from McJim Classic Leather, artist marketing support, and a talent management contract was awarded to the winner that night.
“This is the moment that we are all waiting for. This was a long process. We started the competition early this year. It’s a long journey. Napakahirap pumili because from hundreds of contestants, it all boiled down to six exceptionally talented contestants,” said Cahilig as he was baout to announce this year’s McJim Dreams Get Real winner.
“This is real life. They (contestants) are going, technically, through an audition for a manager, for a label. And for this, we are evaluating who among the six of them has the biggest potential of making it big as an artist. Ako po ang maghuhusga kung sino ba sa kanila ang mananalo,” Cahilig added.
“From a point of view of a manager and a producer, and with the support of McJim Classic Leather, we are looking for someone we can bet our money on.”
Delivering their best performances ever in a concert-like finale, the other finalists — Zsarina Concepcion from Rizal, Erickson Malabanan from Batangas, Micah Llona from Taguig, and Trix Casauay from Caloocan, left it all on stage with their performances that showed their vocal talent, star quality, and character.
“The six last acts gave us an extraordinary and mind blowing show. Each one of them levelled up so we had a hard time choosing who should the competition, but we feel that Apple is the readiest among the six — she has the pipes, the presence, and she knows how to work a crowd,” says Cahilig who is also the Dreams Get Real project head. “But, we wish other contestants well and we hope that they learned something in this competition that they can use to kick-start their careers.”
Delleva, the newest grand champion of “Dreams Get Real: The Search for the Next OPM Star,” bagged a full album and music video grant; PhP 100,000 in cash prize from McJim Classic Leather; artist marketing support; and a talent management contract.

Delleva is no stranger to singing competitions after already representing the Philippines in Karaoke World Championships 2014 held in Stockholm, Sweden and landing a semi-finals spot at at GMA 7’s popular show, “Bet Sa Kantahan.” However, with her latest win and with the help of McJim, she hopes that she will make it big in the music industry and be everyone’s “apple” of the eye.
