The 13 year-old son of the late Master Rapper, Francis “Kiko” Magalona and Women Empowerment Advocate, Pia Magalona, Arkin is showing truly what blood runs through his veins. Arkin Magalona got his dad’s hosting talent shown during the TANG Galing Mo Kid club event, and evidently this is just one trait that he inherited, coming from a family of showbiz personalities – from grandparents, mom and dad, and all the way from his siblings.

Arkin hosted the TANG Brings Out the Hero in Every Kid event held at the Mind Museum in Taguig.

TANG Philippines, along with the TANG Galing Club, was proud to celebrate its new wave of kid heroes. Since its inception two years ago, the TANG Galing Club has searched all over the country for kid heroes who have made a significant difference in the lives of others and who have contributed tot he improvement of our society. TANG shares their stories as part of the brand’s rallying cry “Handa, Inom, Gawa!” – to inspire and allow kids to take responsibility and be heroes in their own little ways. TANG wants them to channel their enthusiasm, creativity, and imagination to do real positive change in the real world.

“Handa, Inom, Gawa!”
Since we saw the TVC of this TANG campaign when it was first aired, we already knew that there is something worth learning from the commercial. The “Handa, Inom, Gawa!” campaign communicates the philosophy TANG wants kids to embrace. That they can make difference. TANG’s mission is to allow kids with opportunities to tangibly show their “we can” spirit in creating real, positive change in their world.

Like the 2012 TANG Galing Mo Kid! Awardees Kesz Valdez, founder of “Caring Children;” brothers U Maalam and Trubador Wisely, who sell their artworks to buy canvas, coloring and drawing and other art materials to teach other kids to draw; Raynold dela Cruz, launched “Saving Kids with First-Aid Kits;”Angela Serafico, sells her paintings to donate to victims of calamities; and Dannah Suaze and Martha Balagat who teach catechism to kids, best exemplify TANG’s ritual “Handa, Inom, Gawa!” which fuels and “refreshes” the inner hero in every kid.

TANG is inviting Moms and kids to share their kiddie-hero stories at their Facebook page to inspire other kids on how every good deed that make a difference for another, counts.

Just like his dad, Arkin Magalona also empowers unique traits that qualifies this young boy as TANG Galing Mo Kid! hero. Proud mother, Pia Magalona, was seen watching her son Arkin with the audience during the event last February 26, 2013.
