On a Friday night out with the barkada, it’s automatic that you’ll spend the night beer drinking with your favorite brand and savor the night as it slowly passes by beyond neon lights, electronic hip sounds, and chill time with friends. Until the night cap, another round of beer before going home is also mandatory, whether you like it or not. And then you tap the bottle (or can) and say kampai for the nth times, with light feelings and surprisingly became so romantic-like Romeo at the end of the night. It’s the beer. And it’s not just an ordinary beer.
Asia Brewery Inc. brings Japan’s no.1 Asahi Super Dry Beer into the Philippines and this calls for a celebration! Leading the pack, Asia Brewery Inc. (ABI) SVP Sales & Marketing Jorge Sevilla welcomes their Japanese counterparts from the Asahi Breweries Limited (Asahi Beer Kabushiki Gaisha in Japan) to a toast of partnership and bring cheers and smiles to Filipino beer lovers in the Philippines.
The Philippine beer company, ABI, headed by Lucio Tan becomes the exclusive local distributor of Asahi Beer also signifies a new co-operation for the leading companies ABI and Asahi Breweries Limited, which have both been known to provide high-quality beverage products to their consumers.
Last year, we were invited to witness how beer is made inside the beer plantation of ABI in Laguna, so we have the ideas how premium beers are made. And basically, the secret of a beer’s success lies in three elements: yeast, select ingredients, and sophisticated brewing technology, which both company’s follow. Okay, let us open another can of Asahi Super Dry before we continue this article.
So what’s the taste of Asahi Super Dry and how come it is the no.1 beer in Japan?
Here are the answers. Both Japanese and Filipino loves beer and are suckers for premium or karakuchi taste. Karakuchi what??? In Japanese language it means, dry. Simple.
Asahi Super Dry has that crisp and mild flavor, not too strong and has that tolerable taste that goes well inside the mouth while it goes down the throat. A 330ml bottle or can has 5% amount of alcohol. But don’t let this premium beer fool you for if you finished, let’s say 3 bottles in succession, you will eventually feel a ‘kick’ which will be better if you just continue the drinking.
What ABI has to say regarding the partnership?
“We at Asia brewery Inc. are committed to providing our consumers with outstanding products, and we’re upgrading our portfolio of high-quality beverages by introducing the new Asahi Super dry in the local market. As Japan’s number one beer, we aim to satisfy the discerning beer connoisseur with a distinctive product that goes well with our lifetime objective: making world-class products available to Filipino consumers,” says Mr. Hubert Tan, ABI VP Marketing.
“We are readying (Asahi Super Dry) to compete with the local brands in the market. We have brought and put a large investment and distributing Asahi Super Dry nationwide is part of our plans (future). we have plans for expansion.”
