Bamboo Mañalac better known as Bamboo in the music industry has gone a long way from the teenage alternative pop frontman of the early Rivermaya, a five-man band in the 90s that soar the airwaves with hits such as Himala, Kisapmata, 214, Ulan, Awit ng Kabataan, and so much more. Bamboo together with former bandmates headlines many gigs before leaving the Philippines around in 1998 for the States. He came back in 2002 to become one of the most-sought after rock ambassador in the country. His countless achievements include fronting for his band Bamboo, coaching for The Voice Philippines, and becoming the latest 2015 ambassador of Jollibee beefing up Garlic Pepper Beef and starring in the newest TVC of the leading Filipino fast food chain in the Philippines.
Jollibee ushers 2015 with a big bang by expanding its roster of brand ambassadors, which now include Bamboo.

Bamboo continuously reaping success as respected musician and world-class performer with a number of best-selling albums and sold-out concerts under his belt. His latest endorsement with Jollibee is another proof of reinventing himself, becoming more closer to his fans, and still showing his deep passion for his craft.
“People always associate musicians with being cool or astig. They think we’re unapproachable, but I’m really just a regular guy who enjoys the simple things in life,” he said.
And to celebrate his latest endeavor, Bamboo, together with Jollibee, put a up a beefed up jamming rockeoke session with the media during the official launch of Beefed Up Sarap Bamboo TVC and product endorsement held at Craft Pub and Grill in BGC last January 21.
The media and guests not only had the chance to join Bamboo with beefed-up musical performance but also were shown behind-the-scenes footage of the Jollibee Garlic Pepper Beef TVC shoot plus the surprise “Other Side of Bamboo” special featuring exclusive interviews with former bandmate Mark Escueta, musical director Ria Osorio, loyal fan Lourraine Seguirre, and young singers Myk Perez and Juan Karlos Labajo, who are both members of Team Bamboo on The Voice of the Philippines and The Voice Kids.
Juan Karlos or JK reveals that Bamboo is like a father figure and a family to him. Much like that Bamboo considers Jollibee as his “family” too.
