Our recent trip to Bohol was both exciting and memorable. Exciting because it was our first to set our foot on the province and memorable because we were part of Habitat for Humanity’s Habitat Youth Build (RELATED: Celebrities and youth builders join hands to rebuild Bohol) caravan and symbolic house building to help rebuild Bohol. What’s even more exciting is we had an amazing stay at Bohol Beach Club. BBC is one of the oldest and first prime beach resort in Panglao.
Bohol Beach Club, in 1984, is the first beach property to open in Panglao. While it enjoyed popularity and high traffic from visitors, it had to close down for several months to settle major renovations that started in February 2013. It re-opened five months ago and since then, familiar guests and newbies has been coming back to enjoy the wonderful spots of the 1.5 km beachfront of the 65 hectare land in Barrio Bolod in the island of Panglao. Bohol Beach Club now has a total if 88 rooms, 1 swimming pool, and 2 new restaurants facing the beachfront.
Bohol Beach Club is ideal for tourists who love to enjoy white sand beach without the worry of having crowded beachfront. BBC is a place that is calm and subtle, a quiet place for a true romantic or family get away.
Allan Santos, General Manager, BBC, told us that there will be more recreational spots that they will introduce in the coming months as they aggressively catches up to remain as the only first-class beach resort in Panglao. They offer activities for swimmers and diving enthusiasts, as well as island hopping for the adventure lovers.
Bohol Beach Club is a 30 to 45 minute drive from Tagbilaran City and it’s just a 1 hour flight from Manila. Local carriers like Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines fly daily to Tagbilaran to accommodate frequent tourists and travelers, foreign and locals alike.
As we have mentioned, Bohol Beach Club takes pride as a first-class resorts in Panglao so do expect a few knocks on your cards and wallets. That said, Bohol Beach Club might be way over for backpackers and budget travelers but the adventure and experience it offers are worth all the money spent. It won’t hurt to give yourself and loved ones a first-class vacation once in a while, right? In the new Bohol Beach Club, it’s not only about the beach, it’s about the whole experience!
