For more than 20 years, Canon has been a big household name in the Philippines when it comes to photography and printing technology, outlasting other competitors of the same industry. This year, 2017 marks Canon’s history celebrating milestones spanning 20 years in the Philippines.
Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) announced a their new products, promos, and plans in the coming days and within the new year.
Canon Philippines President Lim Kok Hin gave a brief welcoming remarks during the Media Thanksgiving Party held in BGC Arts Center last January 19 and said, “For 10 years we are so grateful to many people especially to the members of the press because you helped us propagate our technology and photography as well. We were able to attain high share in terms of photography camera; we are in the right place and the right time as more pictures are taken more recognized the efficiency and unique features of our camera. We are doing better even in the onslaught of smartphones. The number of people buying our cameras are even higher.”
“Our 20th year anniversary epitomized Filipino spirit. There are many customers who have used our cameras and printers throughout the 20 years,” he continued.
Promos and giveaways
“We are giving away 20 rims of paper to everyone who will buy our printers as part of our promos of our 20th anniversary,” Hin told the press inside the BGC Arts Center function room.

“We want to engage you, we want to introduce you to higher learning when you buy our camera. We want you to be expert in taking photos and videos and bring you to beautiful places.”
Canon Service Center
“We are going to introduce a service center with a level way above. We like to offer you with a service like when your camera breaks down you don’t have to go out of your house. We will it pick it up for you and bring it back to you.”
Kristine Dacanay, Marketing Communications Manager, Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc., introduced new products like ImagePRESS C850 series, a stable printer that can print 100 prints per minute; Dream Lab 5000; Powershot Cameras: G9x Mark II and SX430 IS; IXUS Cameras 190 and 185; PIXMA Printers E410 and E470.
