 New classification of public utility vehicles is announced yesterday by the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) in order to usher in app-based services like GrabCar. DOTC secretary Jun Abaya said that ‘the transportation network vehicle service (TNVS) classification will allow app-based services offered by Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) to exist within the department’s regulatory framework.‘ The private vehicle looking service, GrabCar via GrabTaxi app, provides fast, safe and convenient transport option for passengers.
