Defying age with surgical procedure for only Php 5,000 or less? That’s a scam, according to doctors certified by the Philippine Academy of Dermatologic Surgery Foundation Inc., headed by Dr. Teresita S. Ferrariz, MD, during the launch of Radiesse, the lifting filler brought by Merz Aesthetics, a branch of Merz, the innovative leader in aesthetics and consumer health.
Even without them telling us, it’s already a red flag when somebody offers a patient with facial or body aesthetics for that very low price.
Beauty aesthetics doesn’t comes cheap. Would you trust your face and body to a ‘unscrupulous’ individual posing as doctor promising you a ‘beautiful you’ afterwards for a cheap price? Only board certified doctors know the proper way of making aging manageable, which is why it is best to take advice from them than from anyone else.
A lot of patient suffered from the worst case scenario procedure as a result if malpractice from individuals posing as certified doctors who charged patients at the cost of Php 5,000.
“These so-called ‘doctors’ use silicon oil which are not good for the patient. Silicon oil are mostly found in use for compressors and not suitable for humans, especially in large dosages,” explained one doctor during the launch of Radiesse in Makati Shangri-La Hotel. “If someone approaches a patient that he can do the fillers for Php 5,000, ‘wag kayong maniwala,” the doctor added.
“Some patients come to us when they’re already bloated, with a lot of abrasions, and tell us ‘nagpa-inject po ako ng collagen’ for a lesser amount. Pag sinabi sa kanila na ‘collagen’ tapos yung ini-inject sa kanila ay mukhang oil and mura, they should be worried,” explained Dr. Ferrarriz. “From 10 to 20 years after, that kind of procedure will break down, patients will look more ugly than what they’re aspiring to. And we cannot do fillers anymore. Once they let themselves injected with silicon oil, we don’t touch them. Definitely their will be reaction. If they insist, we removed it by lasers and they will spend much more and their faces turn to something not bearable.”
Normally, procedures like facial surgical using certified chemicals like Radiesse will cost a patient from Php 20,000 to Php 30,000 starting at a 1.5cc amount. It will cost more as the patient chooses to higher fillers. But that is much better than dealing with ‘fake’ doctors.
Radiesse has helped defy the age of thousands of women around the world. Not only is it proven to be effective by clinical studies, it is also confirmed to be safe, according to many scientific studies and publications all over the world.
Radiesse is imported and distributed by Seville Pharmaceuticals Inc. and a product of Merz Asia Pacific PTE LTD.
