Taking the stage of Newport Performing Arts and Theather at Resorts World Manila, iconic female OPM recording artist Zsa Zsa Padilla is back to celebrate the 32nd chapter of her career in the entertainment industry
Confessed being a bit challenged after being away from performing at concerts for 6 years, Zsa Zsa is now ready to take another exciting plot in her life sharing the stage with her daughter Karylle and the “Concert King” Martin Nievera.
“I really need kind of a push, kase pag matagal ka talagang nawala sa concert scenes it’s not that easy, parang, ‘you know, building your audience again,” Padilla expressed during her presscon held last May 27 at Resorts World Manila.
Named after her newest album released by PolyEast Records, “Beginnings”, it was helmed by respected musical director Homer Flores featuring Padilla’s covers of laid-back music together with a 13-piece band and 3 back-up vocalists promising to unleash the best of her 32 years in showbiz.
Among the songs that she will perform includes “All of Me” by John Legend, “Quando, Quando, Quando,” “Quizáz, Quizáz, Quizáz,” with some of her revival songs from the latest album, OPM and foreign medleys and her original tracks such as “Hiram,” Kahit na,” and “Ikaw Lamang.”
Padilla gave a ‘Divine Diva’ version on songs including “If I Could” by Regina Belle and “One Hello” by Randy Crawford in “Beginnings” subsequent to her album in 2013 “Palagi” which was released after the loss of Comedy King, Dolphy.
“Beginnings” opens with a revived track from 70s’ pop ballad of Walter-Murphy titled “Just a Love Song,” with the rest of the songs of her personal choice.
“PolyEast Records and I were urged to come up with an album that I hoped everyone would enjoy. 10 tracks of some of my favorite music from the 70s’ and one song from 8Os’,” said Padilla.
Zsa Zsa Padilla with “Beginnings” will amp NPAT on July 31 produced by Resorts World Manila in partnership with Ultimate Shows, Inc.
