Inspired by Dr. Phil McGraw, co-founder of top trial consulting firm Courtroom Science, Inc. (CSI), the new TV series BULL features the courtroom drama and what goes around behind it – based on a trial consulting firm’s POV.
It takes a lot of bull (pun intended) to master the art of trial analytics and Dr. Jason Bull will do everything to get the justice, guilty or not, his clients deserve.
His firm TAC packs a team of analytical thinkers helping the whole group to win a certain case. Lawyer Annalise Keating should send her A1 five-member student-team to this firm so they can learn a lot more on how to get away from murder from Dr. Bull himself!
In its premiere episode, a rich young American man was charged with murdering his Chinese girlfriend on a yacht who was later seen floating dead on a beach. Clearly, there was a murder and whoever was the culprit deserves punishment.
The trial goes on and Dr. Bull and his firm was hired to look at all evidences presented, looks at a jury trial and the identities of everybody involved from the judge to the attorney, to the jury, and the witness and defendant.
The young man was later found ‘not guilty’ based on jurors’ decision. A notion that Dr. Bull believed himself, the key to winning a trial is by winning over the jury.
And for the murdered girl family? They didn’t get the justice they were looking for. Perhaps another trial where the real killer is presented then they will find their victory in court.
This is the irony of this episode where rich people are presented of having able to get away from murder as long as they can tap the best lawyers and a trial consultancy firm who can defend their cases, guilty or not.
And this is where Dr. Bull aces at. Catch the second episode tonight!
