From the foodie masterminds of the Mercato Centrale Group, organizers of popular night food bazaars, added another addition to the next food go-to destination in the Metro. Interestingly, Fiesta Bahia, is actually the first food tourism market bringing all the fantastic and great cuisines from different regions of the Philippines. Fiesta Bahia opens every Friday, Saturday, and Sundays starting at 4 pm and ends at 3 am.
We bumped into RJ Ledesma, Co-founder, Mercato Centrale Group, on their first day at SM by the Bay in SM Mall of Asia and he was happy to see that everything’s on its place despite the sudden heavy rain downpour late in the afternoon.
“We’re proud to have helped a number of our food vendors create their own niche in the local food industry. among those who have emerged are Manang’s Chicken, Mochiko, Chuck’s Grubberie, Mio Gelati, Spring by Ha Yuan, Merry Moo, Inutak, Zen Taclings, Eat My Garlic Fries and a lot more, ” said RJ (Ledesma).
Some of the food treats that attracted our palate were from Mio Gelati, Manong’s Bagnet, Burgetti, Cuisiniers by RaphaRey Co., and Cheat Day, to name a few. But there are more than just what we’ve mentioned. You can also enjoy yummy treats from Yana’s Crispilicious, Cakes by K, Piper’s Pan, Panaderia Pantoja, Mochiko, B WINGS, General’s Lechon, Mamay’s Ihaw Ihaw, Cristy’s Pasalubong, and a lot more!
Our food tour became more exciting as we were able to enjoy yummy tasting of Mio Gelati’s Speculoos Cookie Butter, Salted Caramel, and Pistachio flavors. We were also able to sample the tasty burgers of Burgetti, Cheat Day, and Cuisiniers. Burgetti is a family-owned business according to Pauline Gail Racho, Sales and Marketing, Burgetti. Gail (Racho) told us that this was their first time to be part of the Mercato Centrale Group night food market and it took them three weeks to prepare for their stint at Fiesta Bahia.
Of course, we did not let this tour pass without enjoying ManilaQ‘s mouth-watering Bagwang, bagnet made even better ! We first encountered ManilaQ when we visited Mezza Norte last year.
There’s only one thing that we have noticed here and it’s the overflowing of bagnet, chicharon and lechon kawali that made Fiesta Bahia a truly fiesta-like food festival.
