Glenn Jacinto, frontman of 90‘s OPM rock band Teeth has come back with his first solo single ‘Habang Buhay‘ and is now being played over the airwaves. ‘Habang Buhay’ is being played on Jam 88.3 and Rakista Radio (#1 song in its countdown for the week of Sept 7-13).
Glenn and his former Teeth bandmates came back for a reunion concert series a few months ago after settling his way in the States for 14 years. Teeth is the band behind ‘Laklak,’ ‘Shooting Star,’ and the equally popular ‘Prinsesa.’ Kids nowadays would have heard ‘Prinsesa’ from Daniel Padilla. Nice version, though.
Last August, Glenn shot his first music video after fifteen years – the last one was ‘Shooting Star’ with Teeth, and he was very excited as he told Francis Brew during an interview for the shoot of ‘Habang Buhay’ music video for his solo project directed by RA Rivera. According to Glenn, Teeth is and was never disbanded and they are still currently playing gigs and would be possibly record another album for the band.
As cheesy as the song would be, Glenn would compare the meaning of ‘Habang Buhay’ as love in totality like love for couple, husband and wife, for brothers and sisters, etc.
Here’s the lyric video of ‘Habang Buhay’ since we don’t yet have the copy of the full length music video.
