Global Access Travel and Tours (GATT), a service travel agency in the Philippines specializing in Airline Ticketing, Hotel and Resort Reservation, Packaged Tours (local and international), land transfer (airport-hotel-airport), VISA application assistance, etc., recently brought the Angeles University Foundation – BS Tourism Management group from Angeles, Pampanga for a 4D/3N Heritage Tourism package tour in Korea.
The 4D/3N Heritage Tourism package included an Eco-Cultural Walk at Naminara Island, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress & Heanggung, Cheongwadae Blue House, Ehwa University, Gyeong Bok Gung Palace and National Folklore Museum, a visit to Korean Tourism Organization, Gwanghamum Square, Changdeokgung Palace, Olympic Park, and a Recreational Walk at Changgyecheon Stream and Jongno.
The tour also explored the vast communities of Seoul, Nami Island, Suwon, Myeong-dong, and Insa-dong. Shopping is also a must for everyone and the Myeong-dong and Insa-dong streets are perfect for those thrift and high-end shoppers. Entertainment was provided by the Nanta theater show in Myeon-dong.
Food are always delightful and the group enjoyed sumptuous and flavorful dishes from the Kimchi, Dak Galbi, Mixed Galbi, Chicken Ginseng Soup (Samyetang), Gamjatang, and lunch and dinner at East Bridge Chinese Restaurant and Bulgogi Brothers, respectively.
Accommodations were provided by The Luxury Hotel in Ansan, a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It lies south of Seoul, and is part of the Seoul National Capital Area. It is connected to Seoul by rail via Seoul Subway Line 4. Ansan is situated on the coast of the Yellow Sea.
The 82 members of students and faculties was headed by Dr. Richard Daenos, a full professor at Angeles University Foundation–College of Education and currently holds the chairman position for Professional Education and Special Education Courses. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy major in Educational Management, Master of Arts in Special Education and Master of Arts in Education major in English (all) from AUF. He was a two-time recipient of the AUF Model Faculty Award and was also accorded the TOPM for Teaching B Category in 2006 by Private Education Retirement Annuity Association (Philippines).
Meanwhile, GATT also offers passport, immigration assistance, and also creates tour itineraries for groups.
GATT is a DOT III (Department of Tourism III) and DFA (Department of Foreign Affair) Accredited agency and have a partners both in Local and International destination management companies.
The 4D/3N Heritage Tourism package tour was in cooperation with Huabang Travel Operator in Korea and is part of Adventour Asia magazine coverage.
