If you passed by SM City North EDSA and you’ll visit the Annex building, chances are, you will stop by to take a first-hand look at the art installations at Globe Telecom store located at the 5th Level, Cyberzone. But wait, “Isn’t that the particular Globe store is ‘under construction’?“, you might ask yourself.
On the physical aspect, the Globe store at the Annex, SM City North EDSA is undergoing renovation and is soon to become a digital hub that will change customers experience. And while Globe is basically transforming, the art installations takes away the boredom of seeing ‘under construction’ sign into something that passerby and customers can enjoy while visiting the said place. Globe stores will eventually become the new Generation 3 stores.
The new Generation 3 stores are designed by Tim Kobe, founder and CEO of Eight, Inc., and the mind behind the iconic Apple store in New York. On the future Globe stores, Kobe says, “Globe is transforming the customer experience in the Philippines and it will send shock waves far beyond.” The Generation 3 stores will house interactive lifestyle pillars, featuring a plethora of products within interactive displays that make it more relevant for customers. The installations are designed to be reconfigurable, keeping the environment engaging and interesting—giving reasons for customers to keep coming back to the store. ”
The art installations started last September 27 and will run until December 12, 2014 from 2-5 PM participated by local artists headed by seasoned artist, Ross Capili and photographer, George Tapan. The line-up of artists include Feanne, Robert Alejandro, Rick Hernandez, Jonathan Benitez, and Rem San Pedro for the live ACT (Art + Community + Technology) art installations happening in Globe stores at SM City North EDSA and CDO Limketkai.
