The plan starts at PhP 1899 for new subscription or just pay PhP 299 per month for existing Globe myBusiness subscribers.
The myBusiness WiFi Hub can connect up to 20 simultaneous users, prints out a unique username and password, and with customizable time/volume per individual connection.
In just 3 easy steps, business owners can enjoy the benefits of myBusiness WiFi Hub while customers are provided with secure WiFi connectivity.
Choose the desired time/volume of the customer’s WiFi access (eg. 30 minutes; 1 hour; 2 hours).
Print out the individual username and password for each customers.
Opt to charge a fee (or consumables) to earn extra income, and let the customers enjoy WiFi.
This new product from Globe myBusiness, Globe Telecom‘s small and medium business arm, came to be as the demand for Internet connectivity increases, more customers are looking for establishments that offer WiFi access as today’s lifestyle has become more on-the-go and digital.
Miguel Escueta, co-owner of Pablo’s Pub and Restaurant knew the demand for mobile connectivity. “I think nowadays, the Internet wherever you are, is very important from a business stand point. It’s very important because of the power of the social media, we get a lot of traction just from people coming in enjoying our food, posting photos of their dishes as they share it on Instagram, posting pictures of them drinking and having fun here in Pablo’s. I will say that 50% of the people who come here, out of word-of-mouth, because they see pictures of Pablo’s, pictures of the food, and the pictures of people having a great time here, on the social media. From that stand point, for any type of establishments, Internet is very important. It’s a necessity (for us) to reach out and market through social media,” he said during the launch of Globe myBusiness WiFi Hub that was held in Pablo’s a couple of days ago.
“The need for Internet varies per establishments. Here in Pablo’s it’s mainly for people sharing their moments and their experiences with their friends, and their friends talking about it and vice-versa,” Escueta added.
Indeed, these kind of opportunities led Globe myBusiness to introduce the myBusiness WiFi Hub.
Plan 1899 has speeds of up to 5 Mbps for a DSL or LTE connection. It comes with the WiFi Hub, alongside a Globe DUO number that allows unlimited calls to landline and Globe/TM numbers, and a dedicated after-sales support.
“I think people shouldn’t pay for WiFi. I think it’s a necessity for customers and it’s also a necessity for establishments to provide free WiFi. Existing Globe myBusiness broadband customers need only to subscribe at PhP 299 per month for 24 months & can also be availed on broadband plans starting at Plan 1599 for up to 3 Mbps to Plan 4299 for up to 15 Mbps.
