Habitat for Humanity welcomes us to Bohol for the Habitat Youth Build project

We arrived at Bohol Tagbilaran Airport today, May 2 at around 2 PM and were welcomed by representative of Bohol Tropics where we will stay for the night. Representatives from Habitat for Humanity Geffrey Floresca, Bernadette Tan, Stephanie Manalastas, and Alex Dizon joined us for late-lunch at Cafe Atanacio inside Bohol Tropics. Pinoy Adventurista is also part of our group who came from Manila.

After a short rest we joined the Habitat Youth Build team to Loon, Catagbacan Norte to interview some of the residents who were the first recipients of Habitat Youth Build community project. Loon was one of the most damaged place in Bohol when a magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit the province in 2013.

Habitat for Humanity #RebuildBohol targets 8,083 houses to be built in eight months.

We also saw the kids who enjoy playtime and being playful around us. Seeing these kids with their innocent laugh and smiles made us realize that these children are the most benefited from this project.

Tomorrow morning, May 3, we will join the Habitat Youth Build motorcade that will start in Tagbilaran and will proceed to a press conference by lunch time.
