Together with STARTEK‘s president and CEO, Chad Carlson and VP for Operations Antoinette ‘Tonichi’ Achurra, Senator Cynthia Villar and Pasig City Mayor Maria Belen Eusebio cut the ribbon during the inauguration of the trusted BPO, a service provider with contact centers around the world, state-of-the-art office facility located inside Silver City 3, Frontera Verde in Pasig City.
The four-storey building include a recruitment and training area with recreational facilities for employees such as themed pantry for every floor, gym, sleeping quarters, pocket garden, and a roof deck.
“In behalf of the Philippine government, we welcome STARTEK in our country. The BPO industry is considered as one of the sunrise industries in the Philippines. I am happy that you are opening more BPO (offices) in the Philippines, we welcome you, and I’m sure our local government are very happy because you can provide employment to the people,” Sen. Villar said in her speech. “The most important thing is providing employment. That is one of our (government) target, the target of the president (Pres. Noynoy Aquino). He always talk about this ‘is inclusive growth’ that means providing employment to the poor so that they will not remain poor. Congratulations for helping us in solving our problems in the Philippines by providing employment to the people and I hope you’ll have a very fruitful investment in the Philippines.”
STARTEK has facilities in Makati (Metro Manila), Angeles (Pampanga), and Iloilo City with 6,100 employees in four of its sites in the country.
The new STARTEK office in Pasig City is specifically designed to offer employees a beautiful working environment in a strategic location.

STARTEK opened their first Philippine location in Makati in 2008. Iloilo City site was opened late in 2014.
