It was the day that everybody eagerly and excitedly marked on their calendars. Nope, it’s not the end of the world Mayan calendar apocalyptic doomsday prediction but rather the iPhone 5 launch in the Philippines. Big telcos celebrated the coming of the new iPhone 5 with parties and press conference held in popular bars and hotels during the week. But one telco division chose to kept it subtle as iPhone 5 debuts at Globe Telepark for SMEs in Makati City last December 14.
Globe Telepark in Valero Street is Globe’s Business Center for small and medium-sized enterprises. Minus the ruckus and subscribers camping out just to get a hand of the new iPhone 5 first hand, the Globe Telepark branch had the lesser crowd of business owners and entrepreneurs.

Gerry Soler, Globe Business Product Marketing Head, kept the event as much as to be low-profile as they don’t want to create noise in the already competing iPhone launches within the telco industry. Nevertheless, the first day of the iPhone 5 in Valero was successful as they brought smiles to more than 800 Globe subscribers who made the reservations online prior to the release date.
The iPhone 5 is now available at Globe Business Centers for post-paid plans. Everybody wants an iPhone 5. Why not? It’s not only slim and lightweight but relatively affordable compared to previous releases. Let’s just hope it rain with iPhone 5 where we’re sitting at right now.
