International property portal Lamudi acquired MyProperty.ph as a strategic move to give brokers, future homeowners, and sellers in the real estate industry a stronger property platform or portal to access in the Philippine market.
Lamudi Philippines is part of the Lamudi global network which covers more than 30 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. The local arm of the international property platform hosts residential and commercial property listings ranging from 80 up to 90 thousand.
Both Lamudi and MyProperty.ph seeks growth in their existing brands and not to cancel another to give priority to the other, this has been clarified at the press briefing due to some acquisition issues.
Moreover, Lamudi Philippines started off strong last 2013 and is getting better for the past two years in the real estate industry, this merger creates an even stronger atmosphere, not only for Lamudi but also for MyProperty.ph.
At the event, Lamudi PH managing director Jacqueline van den Ende told the media that they are seeking for a healthy competition not against each other but with other leading real estate platforms.
On the other hand, the merger will ‘ensure that sellers, brokers, and developers will boost their online marketing [target] and improve access to quality industry data and tools.’
