How to get to Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival 2017

 

The Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival 2017 (LubaoIBMF2017) is a yearly hot air balloon festival held in the province of Lubao, Pampanga. As of press time, there are about 30 international balloonist who will be joining to shower the skies with their amazing giant balloons.

To top it all, there will be live performances from local band such as Sponge Cola, Parokya ni Edgar, and Bamboo every night (April 6-9) at the festival with the addition of famous international artists like Red Foo (LMFAO) on the last day. Gates will be open from 4 Am to 12 AM.

General admission for one whole day is P300 and P1,500 (Gold), valid on April 9. Entrance to Flying Area is P500/person and Tethered Balloon Ride is at P1000/person. Children 2 1/2 feet and below are free. You can score tickets online via www.smtickets.com and www.ticketworld.com.ph. Tickets are also available in all SM ticket outlets nationwide & Ticketworld outlets. There’ll be tickets also available on-site, but to make sure you don’t get left out, buy your tickets online ahead of time.

Now, how are you going to get to the venue of the Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival 2017?

Via NLEX

  • Take NLEX and then take San Fernando toll exit
  • Turn left towards Jose Abad Santos Ave. (formerly Olongapo-Gapan road)
  • Head towards Lubao town proper passing Gua-Gua-Sta. Rita intersection and Golanco intersection
  • Venue is at the right side of the highway, before the Pampanga and Bataan welcome arch.

Via SCTEX

  • Take SCTEX toll plaza heading towards Subic
  • Take Dinalupihan toll exit, then turn left to Lubao
  • The venue is right after the Bataan-Pampanga welcome arch

Via TPLEX/SCTEX

  • Take TPLEX towards SCTEX toll plaza heading to Subic
  • Take Dinalupihan toll exit, then turn left to Lubao
  • The venue is right after the Bataan-Pampanga welcome arch

From Manila

  • Ride Genesis, Victory Liner, or Bataan Transit bus going to Olongapo, Mariveles, or Balanga; ask the bus conductor if they’ll pass by Lubao, Pampanga
  • If the bus will pass Lubao, ask the bus conductor to drop you off at Pradera Verde where the Hot Air Balloon Festival will take place
  • All bus liners take a bus stop over in Lubao
  • For Victory Liner, it’s a 15-minute away from Pradera Verde

From San Fernando, Pampanga

  • Ride a jeepney going to Sta. Cruz or Gua-Gua. Go down at the jeepney terminal
  • From the jeepney terminal, ride another jeepney going to Dinalupihan. Ask the driver to drop you off at Pravera Verde

From Bataan and Olongapo

  • Ride a jeepney going to Dinalupihan, Bataan. Go down at the jeepney terminal
  • At the jeepney terminal, take another jeepney ride going to Sta. Cruz or Gua-Gua, ask the driver to drop you off at Pravera Verde
