Mad Dogs is a Hangover style in Belize

I saw Mad Dogs first two episodes ahead of the US and Philippine premiere telecast, thanks to HOOQ TV who is bringing this action thriller series on video-on-demand platform.

My first impression was it kinda looked like Hangover II where our boys in Mad Dogs were drawn to complicated matters arising from a murder of their best pal in Belize.

A quick Google search and it pointed to a certain country in Central America bordered in between Mexico, Guatemala, and the Carribean Sea.

Mad Dogs is the story of five friends who went to Belize on a purpose of vacation to meet Milo and celebrate his early retirement with the guys.

Things were doing okay until Milo was murdered and his friends found out all the lies and deceptions Milo was hiding from them.

A criminal syndicate and the police are now after the four and each one of them are trying to figure out how to get away from the mess they are in and hoping to go home and leave Belize immediately.

As I’ve said, the story is quite similar to Hangover. It has the element of action, thriller, suspense, and black comedy. But interestingly, Mad Dogs is actually a remake of a 2011 British TV series.

HOOQ offers Mad Dogs as the latest edition to its selection of over 35,000 hours of movies and TV series including hot favorites and award-winning series such as Gotham, The Flash, Mad Men, Ash vs Evil Dead, Nashville, etc.

Mad Dogs stars Steve Zahn, Micheal Imperioli, Ben Chaplin, Romany Malco, Billy Zane as Milo, their best bud who’s living a high-end lifestyle in a gated mansion fronting a wondeful private beach in Belize.

The great thing about Mad Dogs is that you don’t have to wait every week to follow the story because HOOQ has already dropped all 10 episodes for us to enjoy this new series.

I can watch Mad Dogs anytime that I want, on my own free time and turf.

The first two episodes was just an introduction of what’s more to come and I am intrigued to what else will these four guys can pull off or how are they going to get away from this murder.
