McDonald’s, a popular fast food chain, was known to have their annual summer workshop for over 20 years in the Philippines aiming to promote children’s well being through fun and enriching activities where member learns, develop skills, have fun and make new friends.
This year, almost 60,000 kids nationwide enjoyed this workshop experience. In addition to this, the Grand Graduation event was the most exciting part of it.
The Grand Graduation event was first held in Laguna, Pampanga, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, and Batangas. And the final and biggest Graduation occurred May 30 and 31 of this year, at the World Trade Center, Pasay, Manila.
The event was opened with a very amazing performance of the dancers holding colourful props and materials. Ms. Jackie Lou Blanco and Mr. Drew Arellano then hosted the graduation event and made the kids, as well as the parents, happy with surprises and performances.
And what’s the sense of a McDonald’s Graduation Event if Ronald McDonald, McDonald’s Chief Happiness Officer, will not be there. So, Ronald and his friends, Grimace, Hamburglar, and Birdie were present to make the kids happier.
The program ended with kids reciting the Kiddie Crew Oath, with the participation of McDonald’s endorsers Ms. Lovi Poe and Alonzo Muhlach, followed by singing of “Make Things Happen”, their graduation song , and the ceremonial Kiddie Crew cap toss.
The entertainment was boosted by different activities and booths outside offered to the kids —face painting, shooting hoops, building monster towers, competing in a buzzer beater game, animal balloons making and the active play zone.
McDonald’s President and CEO Kenneth S. Yang expressed,“We are pleased that our Kiddie Crew members had an amazing summer experience at McDonald’s. More than 60,000 is the highest number of participants we’ve had in years and it’s an affirmation that a lot of kids are enjoying what we have for them every summer. We are also happy to see their whole families enjoying the grand graduation activities. This inspires us more to continue providing enjoyable experiences for families at McDonald’s.”
