Before the grand coronation, Miss Philippines Earth 2015 candidates have already been into different activities, showcasing not only their beauties but their skills and talents, as well. We’ve seen them on their best during their the SM Greenbag Fashion Show Challenge and a lot of them have great potentials to be crowned this year’s Miss Philippines Earth 2015.
These pretty ladies walked with grace and poise taking effortless steps in killer stilettos not everyone could wear. They waved their hands lightly flashing angelic smiles to the awe-stricken crowd.
Recently, it’s such a special sight that made it hard to believe that the delegates of Miss Philippines Earth can get busy in the kitchen. Or better yet, impress the country’s beloved Kusina Master, Chef Boy Logro where the candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2015 displayed their culinary skills as they took on SM Market’s Grocery and Cooking Challenge at SM Hypermarket Pasig.
Unlike typical cooking contests; aside from copying Chef Boy Logro’s signature dish, SM Markets prepared exciting challenges and dares that sent the girls on an awesome scavenger hunt for things they needed in the kitchen. It was an eventful day not just for the beauty queens but also for the SM shoppers who got to mingle with the lovely ladies taking selfies, groufies, and even got the chance to sing with them.
SM Hypermarket Pasig shoppers were surprised when one by one, the candidates brought out their grocery shopping lists and looked for the right ingredients for their cooking challenge.
The queens sliced, diced, and fried; handling knives, pots, and wooden spoons like culinary experts as they carefully executed every step they witnessed when Chef Boy prepared his very special Lombello Tessinoise. Slowly but surely, the girls prepared the meat, the sauce, and the vegetables one after the other. Everyone performed their best and as Chef Boy put it, “lahat masasarap at mahirap magdecide kung sino ang panalo.” But at the end of the day, the team of Miss Iloilo, Miss Mandaue, and Miss Badian-Cebu won it all by making the Lombello Tessinoise closest to the master’s.
This year’s Miss Philippines-Earth delegates went on to participate in other SM Markets organized events that promoted environmental advocacies focused on adopting greener lifestyles through Join the M.O.B. (MyOwnBag) campaign and enjoining everyone to plant trees through SM’s Grow a Million Trees.
The Miss Philippines Earth 2015 Coronation Night will be on May 31, 2015 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
