After a long period of sweet negotiations from its faculty and management, Manuel L. Quezon University or MLQU finally comes home to where it truly belongs, in Quezon City, the city that President Manuel L. Quezon founded in 1939.
MLQU Graduate School and Law will now have its new home at the 2nd floor of Victoria Sports Tower, a newly constructed high-rise building by New San Jose Builders, Inc. (NSJBI) in GMA Kamuning along EDSA, Quezon City.
MLQU will include the SPACE program that will give more convenience and accessibility to incoming students of the university. SPACE stands for School for Professional Advancement and Continuing Education.
Months ago, there was a billboard ad that rose the curiosity of the people who saw the “Maghihintay ako – Manuel” campaign both were installed along NLEX and SLEX boundaries. The said billboard ad even went viral on social media sites. It was later revealed that this was a teaser of Manuel L. Quezon University invitation for its grand alumni held on May 22, 2015.
MLQU continued this with the campaign “Maghihintay ako sa EDSA” reflecting on the famous law graduates of the university.
And just in time for the celebration of Quezon City’s 75th Diamond Jubilee, MLQU Graduate School and Law was presented to its alumni and media guests who were present at MLQU SPACE event earlier today, October 9.
NSJBI acquired MLQU in October 2014 with the plan of upgrading both the academe and the school facilities, at the same time, to produce today’s generation of young Quezonians who would be able to meet and even exceed the glory of the university’s past.
Under the new management’s supervision, there is also plan to add a course on real estate management.
MLQU School of Law started in 1947 at its new site on R. Hidalgo St., Quiapo, Manila. With the addition of other academic units, the Law school became Manuel L. Quezon Educational Institution. In 1958, the institution acquired the University status.
