Under the new distributorship of Nikon in the Philippine territories, the Nikon Showroom & Service Center formally opens anew in Greenbelt with a simple blessing ceremony led by Abrigo “Brigs” Merin, CEO , TAO Technology Business Group that marked the formal beginnings of Nikon Philippines under ThinkDharma Inc., member of the TAO Group of Companies and a member of its Technology Cluster carrying brands such as Nokia, Lenovo, and iPhone brands, to name a few. Nikon Showroom & Service Center is located at Ground Floor Unit 3 & 4, The Residences, Greenbelt, Paseo de Roxas corner Arnaiz St., Makati City, Philippines 1226. The Nikon Showroom & Service Center opens from Mondays to Saturdays opening at 10 AM and closes at 7 PM.
We have been a Nikon user since 2009 when we first owned a D3000. Since then, our love for the brand grew and the passion to shoot with Nikon remains as years goes by. We are now also shooting with a D3100 which we acquired last December 2013 as our personal Christmas gift. Now, we are drooling over the full frame D750 which we saw during the blessing ceremony of Nikon Showroom & Service Center last Tuesday (Oct. 7) and we hope that someday we can own one of the D750. Nothing is impossible.
The New D750 has superior maneuverability, an effective pixel count of 24.3-million pixels with the excellent image quality, the smallest and lightest body among Nikon FX-format models. That is what we are looking for, aside from getting a full frame camera, we would love to shoot with outstanding 24MP compared to our D3000 and D3100 which only has 10MP and 14MP, respectively. We cannot imagine the possibilities of the powerful images that we can shoot with the 24MP full frame camera.
We’re also a member of Nikon Club Philippines and had participated in various events of NCP such as the Corregidor Tour, anniversaries, and lately, we have contributed our knowledge in choosing the best photos in a live judging for the NCP members’ photo entries.
ThinkDharma distributorship is a welcome sign for every Nikon shooters in the Philippines. This is a best time for Nikon shooters to become more active now that the Nikon Showroom & Service Center promises to deliver better services and feature photography workshops for the never-ending learning process of whether a budding, hobbyist, amateur, professional, and/or seasoned photographer.
“ThinkDharma is our first investment when it comes to camera and imaging business. That is why we are very excited to have this opportunity to really capture the market here in the Philippines with Nikon because it’s a strong brand with strong followers, such as the members of the Nikon Club of the Philippines (who are here today). Our objective is to really engage with the consumer and opening up this service center is our way of creating that opportunity or we can engage with the consumers with training, servicing their product at the same time do a showcase of whatever the new products are for Nikon,” said Merin right after the official opening ceremony of Nikon Showroom & Service Center in Makati.
New models of Nikon DSLR, Nikkor Lens, Nikon 1 Series, Coolpix Series, and camera accessories are displayed at the new Nikon Showroom & Service Center. Aside from the main lobby area where customers can wait while their products are being serviced, there are also rooms for the Nikon training and photography sessions and the Work Station for the tech guys doing the repairs and servicing parts of Nikon customers cameras and gears.
“Part of our vision is to grab that market share in the Philippines and at the same time create showcase centers and engagement centers across the Philippines. This is just the first of the things that we will do. Expect us to be engaging with the consumers and be active in media, working with you guys to have fun with our Nikon products. On behalf of TAO Technology, I really thank you all and I look forward to be working and engaging with you not only as a user of Nikon brand and as our partners,” Merin added to his closing remarks.
