We did a two-week review and test-driving the latest flagship from Nokia, the Lumia 930 and here goes our first impressions.
We decided to take our Lumia 930 during our visit in the blessings of BELLINI and MARTINI, two of the latest residential units of VALENZA under the flagship of CROWN ASIA of Vista Land, which is owned by former senator now full-time businessman, Manny Villar.
We took photos and videos of the surrounding environment and the residential units using the Nokia Lumia 930 and we are very impressed of the images saved in our device. See our article Valenza Crown Asia, an Italian-themed community in Sta. Rosa, Laguna here.
Nokia Lumia 930 boasts of 20MP PureView rear camera perfect for still and video recordings. This is perfect for outdoor sceneries and colorful images that Lumia 930 easily captures. See more Valenza Crown Asia photos below using Nokia Lumia 930.
We also tried recording videos and installed TIMELAPSE PRO on the Lumia 930, unfortunately we need to purchase the app for us to fully use the application like uploading the videos on social media or in our laptop. Videos recorded by Lumia 930 has crisped and stabilized images like you are watching a scene from a movie. This feature of the Lumia 930 can replace video recordings of other devices and could be used as action on-the-go camera, as well.

Another thing that we’ve like more about the camera is its wide-view angle orientation on the AMOLED touchscreen that can save image up to 4992 x 3744 hi-res pixels.
What’s inside the box of Nokia Lumia 930:
1. Lumia 930 packed with Windows 8.1 OS with built-in battery.
2. Micro USB 2.0 cable and plug.
3. User’s manual.
During the weekend, we head up South and went to Tagaytay and we also shot landscapes of the places to visit.
Honest to goodness impressions:
- On continuous usage, the unit tends to warm up, especially on camera mode. This is a normal case with most devices.
- Nokia Lumia 930 connects easily when there are strong signal but lags when Wi-Fi or Hotspot is weak. Example: Once in Makati Shangri-La, an iPhone 5C can easily connect to the hotel’s free Wi-Fi while the Lumia 930 gets an error response.

Over-all usage, the Nokia Lumia 930 is a perfect camera phone that is likely can compare and beat entry-level DLSR. We were satisfied with its images and even our friends agreed. But to compare with a point-and-shoot and DSLR would be an over-statement when it comes to pricing. Should you settle for the Lumia 930, there’ll be no going back and you just have to be satisfied with its camera phone spectacles.
