NUVALI Dirt Weekend event kicks-off today, April 26 and will run until the 28th, also dubbed as NUVALI Dirt Week Invitational.
NUVALI is a sprawling Laguna community hosting Dirt Weekend’s 5th year organizing this annual event, according to Jun Bisnar, Senior Vice-President & GM, NUVALI; Vice-President, at Ayala Land Inc.
The Dirt Weekend is a special cycling event with some participants coming from different countries; different groups; and biking organizations.
The first day is allotted for registration and the next two days will be the cycling competition comprising Cross Country (XCO/XCR) and Four Cross events.
In the aftermath of the Boston Bombing in the United States that resulted to the deaths of three people, Bisnar assured the public that strict measures and full security is imposed during the event and competition.
Also, all the participating cyclists were required to secure the national federation’s license, especially since the competition will be under the watchful eyes of representatives from the world and the country’s national federation. Expected UCI commissaries to judge the competition are Beatrice Lajawa of Malaysia and Oscar Rodriguez of the Philippines.
NUVALI has since become the home of the best sports venues like marathons, fun runs, wakeboarding, and cycling – at par with world standards.
If you have time tomorrow and until April 28, go and visit NUVALI and witness the Dirt Weekend competition happening on those days.
