Love is still in the air two days after Valentine’s Day with the first ever NUVALI Night Sky Cinema which drew crowds of couples, families and friends with ages ranging from kids to adults. NUVALI Night Sky Cinema showcased three Hollywood romantic flick movie-date event last Feb. 16 at the open football field watching great movie classics such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), Pretty in Pink (1986) and the 2011 Like Crazy. This was the first time for NUVALI to hold this kind of themed event, specifically to quite enjoy the love month. Turn out that it was a success and everyone enjoyed it. With this result, we could be expecting more of this to happen in NUVALI.
We ourselves were glad to take part this event and it was our first to watch Audrey Hepburn and Molly Ringwald‘s classics in an outdoor place. Jennifer Lawrence stars in Like Crazy. We had our mats, bean bags, large pillows and movie snacks, care of Oishi, as we lay on the wide field at times checking out the clear blue sky waiting for the stars and moon to show up above. By the way, we grew-up with the 80s era and Pretty in Pink by Psychedilic Furs was one of our high-school days soundtrack.
Aside from the movie, there were games and surprises given to lucky participants as night envelopes the field. Food carts and trailers were also present to churn out tasty eats and movie treats. This beats those romantic drive-in movie-dates that we knew of, so far. Not only the entrance was free, everyone enjoyed three movies on one night!
It’s really an opportunity to appreciate the outdoors and life’s simple pleasures with family and friends, and this is definitely will be another NUVALI signature event in the making.
The NUVALI Night Sky Cinema was made possible with sponsors such as The Grind (Patron Sponsor) and donors: Oishi, Krispy Kreme, BreadTalk, All FlipFlops and Media Partners.
