South Snack Attack With Oishi

I have another event to look forward to every year: Oishi Snacktacular!

Since Enzo wasn’t feeling well, I attended the media launch of Oishi Snacktacular 2017 on his behalf. The timing was perfect for me as a first-time participant since its new venue is closer to home (it was held at Festival Mall Alabang that’s 30 minutes away from my house in Las Piñas), plus I had no appointments that day. I was glad to accept my #superproxy role (obviously I’m an Eheads fan) that somehow ended my July in a fun and exciting way.

I, along with other members of the press and online media, were welcomed with free snacks and drinks, a program hosted by DJ Samantha Purvor of 103.5 KLite and Oishi celebrity endorser Alex Gonzaga, meet and greet with the official mascots a.k.a. Oishi Friends Panya, Hippy, Pilyo and Waifu, fun games, a raffle draw and of course, a sample experience in each activity booth wherein we got to take home so many Oishi goodies as prizes.

We were given a Pass to Wow upon registration, which we had to complete with stamps after joining each activity booth to get a free Oishi t-shirt.

Here are the family and barkada-friendly activities that I tried (ranked them based on preference, in reverse order):

#5 – Cuckoo Blaster (PHP 120 per player)

It was the hardest for me, as I only got three balls with my bird costume and catching skills. More balls meant more Oishi drinks to win.

#4 – O Twirl (PHP 20 per serving)

I liked the soft serve ice cream (chose Oishi Choco Chug over the new Tea Matchi Matcha milk tea flavor since I’m a self-confessed chocoholic) and picked two toppings. It’s just that I was still full that time as I just had breakfast and the venue temperature was cold, so I wasn’t able to finish what I got.

#3 – Make Your Own Snack (PHP 20 per serving)

Your choice of Oishi chips and dip (or dips as you can choose up to two)…now this was when I started forgetting I already had breakfast. Cravings satisfied!

#2 – Snack Shack (PHP 295 per player)

Adrenaline rush indeed! I had to fill my 2-foot Giant Pack with all Oishi treats that I picked from the shelves within one minute. I got all the large pack of chips and Oishi cornflakes but since I had to seal the pack before going out, I removed all the excess products I put inside (with a heavy heart). 😭

I don’t mind doing this again next year though.

#1 – Oishi Snack Catcher (PHP 200 per player)

The crowd favorite and the main reason why I’ve always wanted to attend this event…the price you pay to join is worth it considering the adventure of hanging on a harness and the total retail value of all the snacks you can get in three seconds. As a beginner of this interesting challenge, I already got 40+ packs of Oishi snacks with the use of my hands, core, arms and legs. Not bad at all!

It was an amazing weekend for all Oishi fans like me, as they invited other Team O celebrity endorsers Maine Mendoza and the Kathniel loveteam (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla) to take part in the event too.
