SPOILER ALERT: Don’t continue reading this if you haven’t seen the latest Arrow episode “Left Behind”.
In this Arrow: Season 3 latest episode “Left Behind,” Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) has come back to life and the excitement for the ‘return of The Arrow‘ in Starling City‘ is leveling up. But before he (Oliver) could come back and return to his city, we must first find out how the hell he was brought back to life.
In the mid-season finale “The Climb” we all saw how Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable), defeated Oliver in a sword fight duel challenge and ended Oliver’s life by striking a sword into his chest. Oliver fell into the ravine and was already ‘dead’ until this was picked up in “Left Behind” when Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) visited Arrow Cave and showed Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), Diggle (David Ramsey), and Roy (Colton Haynes) the blood of Oliver. Merlyn then talked to Thea (Willa Holland) of leaving Starling City because they are in great danger. Somehow telling us, we’ll not be seeing Merlyn or Thea for another episode or two.
But the major event in this episode is Oliver’s resurrection. Thanks to Maseo (Karl Yune), whose indebted for life to Oliver, brought Arrow‘s body to Tatsu (Rila Fukushima). Maseo told Oliver he should be thankful to his wife, which we believed was separated for a long time from Maseo after the ‘Hong Kong flashback’ A.R.G.U.S. operation.
The question here is how did Tatsu revived Oliver from being dead? We all know that whenever Ra’s al Ghul character surface, there’s always the Lazarus Pit. And by that, we all know what the Lazarus Pit can do. But here in “Left Behind” there was no hint about it. Ra’s al Ghul even left at the battle scene after his fight with Oliver.
The answer we shall be waiting in the up-coming episodes.
Meanwhile, a new vigilante has risen in the suit of the Black Canary, honoring Sara Lance (Caity Lotz). Will we be seeing The Atom in the suit too in this season? That will be also exciting to find out.
