“Pioneer is also about saving lives,” said President and CEO Lorenzo Chan, Pioneer Life, Inc., when we joined him one evening on their company’s small gathering for the online media – the bloggers.
It was a Bloggers Night and was initiated by Pioneer Life, Inc. through Giancarlo Viterbo, Manager, Social Media Solutions, who invited few of the well-known bloggers living in Metro Manila.
The gathering was to (re)introduce Pioneer and asked the bloggers to help spread the company’s campaign and let the people know what an insurance company like them, really do.
Thought of accidents and deaths always popped-out whenever we are met by an agent and we usually drive them away, which is normal, for fear maybe or to avoid talking about the after-life scenarios.
But President and CEO Lorenzo Chan was articulate in explaining how Pioneer Life, Inc. may differ from any other insurers and that they are not based solely on giving claimants the insured amount they deserve after the insurer dies. Not anymore. Chan, shared us a couple of heartwarming stories where the instances for claiming was out of the context or not on the legal procedures of claiming benefits. But Chan and his company, as humane they can be, talked to their legal attorneys to execute claims for beneficiaries EVEN IF the insurer hasn’t died yet. And that would be the most wonderful news and probably the biggest help an insurance company can give for grieving beneficiaries.
We saw through Chan’s eyes the sincerity of every words he uttered during that evening and we can sense his words are not merely ‘selling‘ us an insurance plan but rather helping us to fully understand the mission, vision and goal of Pioneer Life.
With him was Len Pozon, Vice President, Marketing Services and Communications, who gave a short message to each of the blogger attending the party also dubbed as “The Happy Hour“.
