99% of entrepreneurs in the country consists of micro-entrepreneurs, according to Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon V. Lopez during his acknowledgement remark last March 24 for the official opening of Go Lokal! in Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Place Manila.
“I (and behalf of DTI), thanked Robinsons Group for recognizing these entrepreneurs and through Go Lokal!, they are given a chance to get inside malls, get exposed to thousands of shoppers visiting Robinsons Department Store everyday,” said Sec. Lopez.
“Through Robinsons’ support, these small entrepreneurs are given the chance of exposure and have their products sold inside the mall’s prime area. Robinsons is doing this for the country, they are doing this for our fellow local entrepreneurs, and you (Robinsons) deserves a round of applause,” the Secretary added while Robinsons Retail Holdings President and CEO Robina Gokongwei listens, together with RDS endorser Maricar Reyes-Poon, alongside the crowd who attended the simple ceremony right in front of the entrance of Robinsons Department Store.
From bags to perfumes, chocolates to wine, there are a lot of products to buy from the Go Lokal! aisle. It’s not an exhibit that has a limited period but rather it’s a wide array of selections that is going to stay in Robinsons malls for a long period of time.
