Last night we witnessed a jam-packed powerhouse performances by 6cyclemind, Nina, and Bamboo, plus a breath-taking dance number from Iya Villania during SALUDO: A Concert for Heroes.
SALUDO, a heroes concert at NUVALI lifts spirits of Filipino soldiers and their families that aims to help the bereaved wives, husbands, and children left by soldiers who heroically died in battle or left severed injured making them not to be able to get back to service again.
Founded in 1988 by the late President Corazon C. Aquino with then Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Renato de Villa, and business stalwarts in the country, came in as an answer to the growing need to help families of fallen soldiers.
HERO, which stands for Help, Educate, and Rear Orphans foundation is presently headed by businessman-philanthropist Fernando Zobel de Ayala as the Chairman of its Board of Trustees.
HERO board member Aniceto Bisnar Jr., a vice president at Ayala Land, and Michelle Chan, Director for Marketing & Resource Mobilization, was there and made sure that the heroes children, VIP guests, and media enjoyed and had a good view of the concert. It was indeed a very nice concert for a good cause and hearing the stories of our fallen soldiers will be moved upon hearing their plights.

SALUDO: A Concert for Heroes is a fitting occasion coincidentally held on the 149th birthday celebration of Andres Bonifacio, also called “the great plebeian,” “father of the Philippine Revolution,” and “father of the Katipunan.”
The event was also attended by Laguna Governor Hon. Jorge ‘E.R.’ Ejercito.
