Giordano Philippines welcomes its first-ever Filipino brand ambassador in the person of ‘Sir Chief’ Richard Yap of the popular daytime hit series Be Careful With My Heart, and gladly welcomed the debonair actor to the Giordano family.

The contract signing was sealed in the presence of Giordano Philippines’ President Larry Lim and Vice President for Business Development Lloyd Lim and witnessed by invited guests and media personalities at the press conference hosted by RX93.1FM deejay Gelli Victor. See more photos here.

Undeniably, girls love the Chief.. err, we mean, Richard. His charisma contributed a lot that made BCWMH a hit to the daily series’ audience. And why not. Richard looks very clean, dashing, good looking, etc.

“Richard Yap epitomizes Giordano’s brand values. Both are clean, casual, current and appeals to everyone everywhere,” said Lloyd Lim, Giordano Philippines vice president for business development.

Richard represents Giordano very well,” said Lloyd when asked by Gelli why they chose Sir Chief as their brand ambassador.

Richard describes his personal style as simple yet stylish, relaxed yet sophisticated, and characterized by clean lines.

Richard’s a ‘late-bloomer‘ in showbiz when he starred in My Binondo Girl as Papa Chen in 2011, also an ABS-CBN TV show. But even before that, he was already doing TV commercials for a popular Chinese fast-food brand in the 90s.

Complimenting Giordano and him bagging the first-ever local ambassador of the global brand, Richard said, “I’m never the structured type. I always prefer relaxed casual pieces any time. They suit my lifestyle better and I found that I feel much more relaxed when I know that I am well-dressed.
