Slappy Cakes is one of the most popular breakfast spots which was originally from Portland, Oregon. Though it is already famous for its dishes, new offerings were introduced to the customers, either new to their taste or old favorite with a twist, to provide more delicious choices but are still based to the restaurant’s American roots.
First in line, Slappy Cakes’ Pancake Sampler. The restaurant is known for their do-it-yourself pancake which lets the customers to cook the pancake on their own and having the freedom to do whatever design they want. They offers three different flavors– Chocolate, Red Velvet and Peanut Butter. However, because of each flavor comes in a large container, people are having a hard time which flavor they will get. So, based on customer’s feedback, this new Pancake Sampler comes in smaller servings of all the three flavors, allowing them to taste, cook, and play with more batter flavors in just one order.
Slappy Cakes doesn’t only offer pancakes but also serves all-American burgers which includes Classic Burger, Cheese Burger, and their new Slappy Sliders, which is a combination of three but tasty hamburgers. These burgers are best paired with their new Strawberry Milkshake, making it a full-American meal.
Being a breakfast-serving restaurant, Slappy Cakes created their very own version of scrambled egg, the Cheezy Chorizo Scramble, which contains chorizo, onion, cheddar cheese and eggs topped with cilantro pesto serve with toast.
If you are not satisfied with pancakes, burgers and scramble egg, Slappy Cakes encourages you to try their heavy meals that will definitely satisfy your cravings. You can order their Maple Glazed Pork Chop served with red onion and rice, or Havana Rice which is ground beef, sunny side egg and plantain on rice.
If you’re not into heavy meals but into light ones, don’t worry because Slappy Cakes’ Potato Wedge Salad will be your best buddy. It has romaine lettuce, potato wedges in mayonnaise dressing with bacon bits on the top.
