Rewind two years ago when we last set foot in the Premier mall in the South, it is a total experience today to see how SM Southmall revamped with great upscale interior that shoppers will agree.
The unveiling of the relaunch happened last November 17, 2012 at SM Southmall led by SM Prime President Mr. Hans T. Sy; SCMC President Ms. Annie S. Garcia; VP Operations-South Mr. Glenn D. Ang; SCMC VP Operations-Premier malls Mr. Steven T. Tan; VP Leasing Ms. Daisy T. Chua; SM Prime Consultant Mr. Pocholo Veguillas; and SM Engineering Mr. Hans Christian Sy, Jr. together with key executives from partner stores, celebrities and personalities.
Hosted by Ms. Issa Litton, who confessed how she loves going to SM Southmall as it is just a few minutes away from where she lives, the NEW DIRECTION theme was set to formally launch Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment experience starting of with the Food Street at Southmall; the architectural innovation High Bay, a high ceiling section for serious shoppers; IMAX Theater and SM Ice Skating Rink.

The Food Street at the South is the newest food haven and this is where you’ll find the sumptuous, not-so-ordinary, and gimmick places to have fun with family, friends, and love ones. Bringing out the best to the south, Food Street is a 250-meter row of restaurants offering variety of cuisines for discriminating tastes and individual palates.

For baby back-ribs lovers, RACKS always amuse me and with their Kansas City Style Babys, a new offering for Php 785, two people can share this mouth-watering meal up to the last bite.
For the first time we were able to try out MARCIANO’s Pizza Pasta Steak house. Thanks to Mr. Miguel dela Rosa, Marketing of SumoSam Group, for entertaining our short visit to their store.
Our food short food journey did not end at MARCIANO’s as we go straight to Maharaja. Just by the name of it you’ll know it’s an Indian restaurant with bold flavors of authentic Indian food. Great for Indian cuisine lovers!
Last stop before capping off the night, we went to AGAVE Mexican Cantina and enjoyed a shot glass full of frozen Margarita – just perfect to end the day!
The only IMAX Theater in the South offers a 440-seating capacity and the latest in cinema technology, and the SM Ice Skating Rink is one of the only two SM ice skating rinks in the Philippines.
The rest of SM Southmall retail spaces have also been rezoned for an enjoyable, accessible, an convenient shopping experience for all mall goers.
