Last April 23, motorists and car owners who have been waiting for their permanent license plates issued by the LTO swarmed at Capitol Commons Open Parking in Pasig to avail of the free temporary license plates from SNICKERS. Yep, that chocolate snack bar. And the catch? It’s way looked cooler than the LTO issued temporary car plates!
Well, over 200 temporary license plates and car stickers were given away during that one day Don’t Drive Hungry initiative by the popular chocolate bar brand because we all know that when drivers get hungry, they end up doing crazy things on the road. Kinda.
So SNICKERS reminded the public not to let hunger get in the way of their driving through the Don’t Drive Hungry campaign.
Did you know?
Manila topped the survey fro the longest time spend commuting from home to office with an average time of 45.5 minutes, though some motorists report much longer travel times especially during rush hour. This is a fact and we know it’s true because we commute almost everyday.
Long hours stuck in traffic can lead to drivers getting hungry on the road, affecting their mood and focus, which can have detrimental effects to the quality of driving by motorists.
We’ve met with Fui Ching Phua, MARS Southeast Asia Marketing Manager and this is what she has to say about the SNICKERS initiative, “SNICKERS is all about satisfying those hunger moments because we recognize that you aren’t you when you’re hungry. Given the traffic situation in the Philippines, hunger can make drivers do crazy things. By giving out these temporary license plates, we want to remind drivers, drive safe, don’t drive hungry.”
This is actually the brand’s first Don’t Drive Hungry campaign in the country and they are looking out on doing this again in the future.
Aside from getting free temporary license plates, motorists were also invited to support the Don’t Drive Hungry initiative by posting on their experience with the hashtag #dontdrivehungry.
