C’est Trop Bon at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila

 

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila celebrates French National Day C’est Trop Bon for the whole month of July highlighting 210 different types of cheese at Spiral’s L’Epicerie to further enrich the Filipino’s growing adoration for the classic French staple.

Cheese specialist Colin Chandaras will share the fine art of appreciating cheeee from July 6-10, 2016 at lunch and dinner.

Colin has a specialization on cheese and dairy products, having been trained by the master cheesemaker himself, Pascal Beillevarie. He is an official envoy of Fromagerie Beilleverie, sharing his knowledge and expertise on cheese. According to Colin, “What I love about cheese is that you have hundreds of possibilities in its production depending on the season of the year, the taste you’re looking for, and several other factors.”

During C’est Trop Bon media launch, guests were treated with scrumptious lunch at Spiral and sumptuos menu from French Stove like the Beef Tartare, Duck Confit with Lentil Cassoulet, Tartiflette, Pissaladiere, Escargot a la Bourguignonne, chicken Supreme in Foie Gras Sauce and Trumpet Mushroom, Petits Pois a la Francaise, Macaron, and Creme brulee.

La Moynerie Sur Loire 2014

Should be served with shellfish, crustaces, pickled fish, and aslo receipts besically done with cheese.

Clos Des Verdots – Cotes Bergerac Moelleux 2014

A sweet, well-balanced wine without heaviness. Ideal as an aperitif, with foie gras, chocolate cake, and fruit tarts.

Clavel Le Mas 2013

Intense nose of red fruit, juicy, ripe, spices. Fresh attack, well balanced, crunchy fruit that calls another sip and intense finish.
