Star Wars: The Last Jedi by Rian Johnson is an absolute masterpiece from beginning to end and for those who haven’t seen it yet, should never miss this fantastic movie this December.
A lot has been said about this film, some were disappointed. WE ARE NOT.
But without giving out spoilers, we just want to say that SWTLJ has something that previous Star Wars chapter doesn’t have. For one, The Last Jedi has given us more comic relief and much funnier than the last darker The Force Awakens, which is more serious of all the Star Wars saga. The Force Awakens gave us the darker feel of the Force and showed us the fear The Rebellion endured during their battle with the dark side headed by Kylo Ren aka as Ben Solo, the son of Han and Princess Leia Organa. The Force Awakens was a tragic continuation of the epic story.
This time, The Last Jedi brings us back to a New Hope version and introduced us to more and unknown characters that pound the heart with bravery as they faced the First Order’s annihilation giving birth to new heroes through this Star Wars Episode XIII series. The Last Jedi also gives us a nod to girl power.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi also showed us many scenes and characters doing decision we thought were all wrong but in the end we realized, “Oh, shit! Tama pala.”
With these, we are sharing some of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie lines which we thought you can relate with your hugot feelings in your daily lives. You’re lucky if you’re doing well in your career; having a blast with your family and friends; enjoying a balance with work and personal life. But if you’re suffering from depression; heartbroken; feeling unsuccessful; or you felt cheated, this memorable lines from SWTLJ might just help you cope up and believe in yourself once more, move on from heartbreaks and pains where you’re suffering into now.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi Movie Lines That You Can Relate With Your Hugot Feelings Everyday (The Last Lodi Chronicles)
10. Fulfill your destiny! Take that silly thing off! You are no Vader. You are just a child in a mask.
When Snoke said these words to his apprentice, the Supreme Leader was telling Kylo to pursue his evil ways, to press him more to the dark side. But in your life, you may see these words as a push to make your life more meaningful. A child-like in us could hinder ourselves on becoming more mature to fulfill our own destinies. So take off that mask. Be a man (and woman). Have balls to face life.
9. I saw the conflict in you. It’s tearing you apart.
Rey believed that Kylo still has Han Solo’s heart and by pushing Ben to accept it, this villain could have gone back into the light. Or so. Just like everyone. If we suffer mentally and emotionally, these conflicts tear us apart. If we won’t be able to overcome them, we become more depressed and might lose ourselves to the dark side. If we’ll accept and face these conflicts, we’ll be able to repair the damages in our heart. Depression takes life. If you can’t control it, you will lose everything.
8. I need someone to show me my place in all this.
A student like Rey needs guidance and this is why she is calling out on Luke to teach her the ways of the Jedi. If somebody reaches out to you and asks for your guidance, it wont hurt to listen. That person may be lost and troubled. Talk to them. Be their guiding light. Be the light. You may never know, you might be saving one’s life.
7. We fought until the end but the galaxy lost all its hope. The spark is out.
Princess Leia believes that her army can still win the fight but when she said these words, you know it’s over. Just like when you’re in a relationship. For the many times you and your significant one fought and reconciled, if nothing really worked out and spark is gone, it’s better that you break. You will never see the perfect view when there’s cloud blocking your vision. Only then you’ll accept and realized that surrendering’s not bad at all. Because when something ends, there’s hope for a new beginning.
6. I saved you, dummy. That’s how we’re going to win. Not fighting what we hate. Saving what we love.
This is our most favorite line from SWTLJ movie and it struck real hard it remained in our head until now. We love the Rose Tico and Finn’s partnership and when this out-of-nowhere badass mechanic girl spoke this line, it tug at the heartstrings.
For couples who are fighting and when you put too much hate to the person you loved, we hope that Rose’s words can help you realize that fighting and running won’t save your relationship. If you really love the person, show it to them. Communication is the key to save them from their sorrows. Never abandon them just because you hate them. If there’s still that spark and you really love that person, save and don’t leave.
5. I’m just glad you’re here. At the end.
Luke may never want to fight again and be the hero once more but upon realizing he needs to stand up and fight for the people he cares, he showed up for the last time. Leia acknowledged Luke’s presence and this tighten their bond even more, as one. IRL, wouldn’t it be great to see the person whom you taught have walked away from you suddenly came back to be there by your side when you’re down and low? This sparks hope, for a better future. You and this person might not end up in each other’s arms once again but this could be a wonderful sign of a new beginning for both of you.
4. This is not going to go the way you think.
Luke’s harsh words to Rey only wants this young apprentice to realize that not all things will happen the way it’s going to be. Rey thought it’s going to be easy to have Luke as her teacher but Skywalker insists on pushing her away. Some people might reject you or discourage you from doing the things that you believe will make you successful; or a friend might tell you to stop pursuing that girl you love because she’s not the one. Accept it. They could be right.
Sometimes we’re getting blinded and we can’t see the whole picture when we’re in love or adamant on pursuing certain things. We do things in haste only to find out in the end that we’re making bad decisions and stupid mistakes that could end something abruptly. Then we’ll end up regretting and blaming ourselves why it happened. The best way you can do is to ride with the flow. Let it happen as it happens. Do not force or pressure someone to love you back or ask them to show love as same as you did. It’s not going to go the way you think. It will only lead to disaster and break you up in the process, if you persists. We’ve been there and it’s not pretty.
3. I only know one truth. It’s time for the Jedi… to end.
Such a powerful and affirmation of what’s to come. Luke don’t want to be a part of the fight anymore and the only way he knows is to end the Jedi saga through himself.
Sa tunay na buhay, ‘walang forever’ and this is what Luke’s trying to tell us. Everyone is hoping for another Jedi to fight and swing his lightsaber and defeat the enemies. But nothing is forever and permanent. You just have to learn to accept it. If nawalan ka ng trabaho or nalugi ka sa negosyo, accept it. Start anew. If she left you, accept it. Move on. The only time you’ll be able to see the new sunrise is when you learn to accept the sunsets in your life.
2. Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to. It’s the only way to become what you were meant to be.
Coming from Kylo Ren, those words sound frightening, di ba? But if you’re going to look at it in a positive way, Kylo’s words were not actually that mean. He’s encouraging you to move on pa nga, to leave the past behind and forget it na.
“Kill it,” doesn’t have to be taken literal. Kill the feelings, kill the emotions and wake up. If iniwan ka niya, huwag ka nang umasa na babalikan ka pa. Things happened with no reason at all, may darating pa na mas better sa buhay mo. Huwag kang magmukmok forever. We’re not saying it’s going to be easy, love hurts and love stains. But if you’ll learn to accept it, you’ll be a better person in the coming days. There’ll be another one who’ll be right and perfect for you. Pero bago ka magmahal ulit, mahalin mo muna ang sarili mo.
1. The greatest teacher, failure is.
Master Yoda never fails to impress us with his shining and truthful wisdom words. This line applies to each of us. Sabi nga natin kanina, walang forever. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. And if you fail, harapin mo. Learn and not hide from it. Because failure in life is the greatest teacher and we can learn so many things from it. It just depends on how you see it. Hopefully, you do not go into the dark side. You may not be able to stop it and you’ll get stuck in that never ending black hole universe where no one can save you anymore. But if your force takes you to the light, you’ll see the future clearly and you’ll become better because you’ve learned your lesson like a true Padawan!
