It was not like an ordinary event. Starbucks Philippines invited its media friends to present and showcase the latest addition in the Teavana Frozen Teas experience. Bloggers and online media came to the newest and largest Starbucks Store in the Philippines at the Macapagal Boulevard in Parañaque last Saturday, September 2 to have the first dibs on the Starbucks Teavana Frozen Teas, two flavors that will make Starbucks tea lovers more excited on their next visit.

But first, we would like to commend Starbucks Philippines for showing their love to their media friends. Upon arriving at the venue, we were surprised that Starbucks Philippines showcased our previous photos highlighting the Starbucks Teavana flavors and framed it on a makeshift gallery and presented it with our names and media affiliates. That was really heart-loving to kick off the presentation of the new Teavana Frozen Teas. Starbucks love is real!

The unveiling of the Teavana Frozen Teas also featured the upcoming menu list which will be also available come September 12. New Classic Beef Lasagna, Penne Pesto with Mushroom, Oriental Vermicelli Chicken Salad, Arugula Pasta Salad with Creamy Parmesan, and Mango Float Cake were served to us for our first bite of these flavorful and delicious treats from Starbucks.

Starbucks is not only known for its coffee, and food. Starbucks is also popular worldwide for its refreshing, icy-smooth handcrafted beverages combining the finest Teavana teas and botanical blends with premium ingredients like Kyoho grapes and pomegranate pearls. And so after launching the Starbucks Teavana last year, Starbucks is proud to introduced and announced the introduction of new Starbucks Teavana Frozen Teas.

“We want our customers to experience tea like they’ve never imagined. Drawing our inspiration from a love of tea in Asia and from popular new flavors. This year, Starbucks takes innovation in flavors and texture to the next level with a unique Frozen Tea platform to satisfy the growing sophistication of consumer preference,” said Keith Cole, head of marketing for Starbucks Philippines.

Commenting on the growing interest in frozen beverages, Davina Patel, global food and drink analyst at Mintel, the global market intelligence agency which follows food and beverage trends in Asia, said: “Our research shows that consumers in Asia continue to gravitate towards beverages with textural and visual appeal, which has led to a growing interest in frozen products. Moreover, consumers are increasingly exploring the world of tea through flavor and variety, with preference shifting towards botanical teas such as herbs, fruits, and spices.”

Ladies and gents, here are the newest, finest Teavana Frozen Teas!

Teavana Frozen Chamomile Tea with Kyoho Grape and Aloe

Starbucks’ signature Chamomile Tea with Kyoho grapes delivers a visual and textural distinction. Honey white grape puree with bits of aloe provides additional texture with a cool, sweet, and refreshing flavor.

Kyoho are giant mountain grapes sourced from Japan. These are skinned, pitted, and left whole to maintain their texture.

Teavana Frozen Chamomile Tea with Kyoho Grape and Aloe is also available in Iced Shaken format.

Teavana Frozen Hibiscus Tea with Pomegranate Pearls

Hibiscus, tropical papaya and mango, and hints of cinnamon and lemongrass come together in Starbucks’ signature Hibiscus tea. The pomegranate pearls complement the tea with the lightly sweet and tart flavor of real pomegranate juice.

Also available in Iced Shaken format.

Media guests got their first dibs on how the new Frozen Teas are prepared and of its taste, and it got spectacular approval from them.

Aside from the launch of these two new flavorful Frozen Teas, Starbucks Philippines also distributed pouch bags to all the media guests and had them artistically and creatively drawn where 5 of the creative designs were awarded with a Starbucks Card unlimited design.

Originally, Starbucks Teavana Frozen Teas were initially announced to be available for a limited time only starting on September 12 but it was clarified during the launch yesterday that it will be available in all Starbucks Store all-year round.
