The search for the 6th Ramon V. Del Rosario Sr. Award for Nation Building was announced on the 5th general membership meeting of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manila
Launched in 2009, RVR Awards is a project of JCI Manila in cooperation with Center for Social Responsibility of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) recognizing individuals who ‘exemplify outstanding corporate citizenship and a passion for nation-building’.
The annual award aims to boost awareness among entrepreneurs, businessmen, and professionals in terms of responsible citizenship and pursuit of progress.
Previous recipients of the RVR Awards are Ambassador Jesus Tambunting and Senen Bacani in 2010, Oscal Lopez in 2011, Washington Sycip in 2012, Vicente Paterno in 2013, and Jaime Zobel de Ayala in 2014.
Following the criteria for the award, the nominations of qualified candidates have been opened and can be submitted by any person, organization, or institution.
By the 3rd quarter of 2015, the recipient of the 6th RVR Awards will be announced.
RVR Award was established in honor of Ramon V. Del Rosario Sr., founder of Philippine Investment and Management Consultants (PHINMA) and the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP).
A man of first
RVR was considered as ‘one of the founding fathers of Philippine Industry.’
He regarded himself as ‘a man of firsts’, the founder of Filoil, the first Filipino-owned oil company, the first national president of JCI Manila, and the first Asian world president of JCI.
