Not a click bait header to make you curious about the latest smartphone from Vivo. While the world is focused on dual lens camera, thanks to iPhone 7 Plus and Huawei P9, Vivo is making waves in the front camera category and surprised everyone with its global release of the Vivo V5 that has the world’s first smartphone to have the 20MP front facing camera, thus the tag line the “Perfect Selfie.”
If it’s about to shake its competitors’, it has made a big and loud impression among the tech and lifestyle bloggers in the Philippines when it was launched last November 23 at Solaire Resorts and Casino. During the launcg, Vivo Philippine salso announced that it will be releasing the Vivo V5 Plus early January 2017.

With these awesome build and specs we can say that the Vivo V5 is a great value to invest on on your next mid-range phone hunting. The price is unbelievably affordable compared considering of its specs.
The 20MP Front Soflight camera creates powerful high resolution with lighting effects of a professional photography studio, giving a soft radiant complexion for a beautiful picture-perfect image every time. Perfect Selfie.
It has that sleek and more elegant look compared to the previous models that Vivo launched in the past. Vivo V5 has an ultra-slim frame Corning Gorilla Glass 2.5D curved glass and a back cover beaming with metallic radiance.
Unlike Vivo V3 Max, Vivo V5 made a minor change in not placing the fingerprint sensor at the back and instead have it in front at the home button. Others prefer the back fingerprint sensor. It’s kinda cool but do not expect the Vivo V5 to have that feature.
Vivo V5 Brand Ambassador
And you know what’s even cooler? None other that NBA Superstar Steph Curry is Vivo V5’s Brand Ambassador for the Philippines. We bet, if Steph Curry would visit here for a Vivo V5 Meet and Greet, it will make a spike on sales for the brand once that happens.
Global and Southeast Asia
As for the latest report, Vivo is on the Top 5 list of Smartphone Brands in Global Sales. Vivo Philippines also partnered with big names in the country to further expand the reach of the Vivo brand. Vivo Philippines tied-up with SM Supermalls, Flexi Finance, and Home Credit, to name a few presented by Vivo Philippines’ Vice President Hazel Bascon during the launch.
On a fast note, if we are shopping for a new smartphone within the mid-range category, we’ll include Vivo V5 on our shopping list!
