Thanks to Globe Telecom, I had the opportunity to blog about a music festival. It’s not just a simple, small-time event…it’s an annual, major kind of thing.
I love attending music-filled happenings (Coachella music fest is still on my bucket list), as I enjoy those moments of discovering fresh talent and watching legends play live. What I love about Wanderland 2017 is not just being given special access to feature it here on the JME blog, but the new location that is very close to (my) home. The Filinvest City grounds was so perfect for Wanderland!
Moreover, I enjoyed looking at the laid-back fashionable crowd from the steady south and north of Manila…
…and I was glad to know the many things the “jungle” had to offer Wanderers like me to keep us busy when no one’s taking over any of Wanderland’s three stages yet (Main Stage, Globe Stage and Jungle Stage).
Talking about the event stages, my fellow Wanderers and I were treated to amazing performances done by not just one, two, or three bands and artists…but a total of 16 OPM and international music stars! What an interesting mix!
The change of location didn’t stop loyal Wanderers from keeping the tradition alive that we were able to spot some celebrities, most of them living more than 10 kilometers away, having the time of their lives with friends and loved ones:
I love you, and i want the world to know, 'cause that's what love is. ❤ Thank you @YunaMusic for inspiring me and thank you for your music that saved me at a time i was really low. I don't want to be sentimental but… Wanderland brought a lot in my life. 3 years ago I had my first Wanderland experience. I don't know anything about music festivals so I really don't have any expectations? I finished late from my work and sadly I missed the set of my favorite band. But I still went to Wanderland, my first thought? "Sayang ticket eh. Saka may sasabay sakin papunta. Sige punta na ako." Do you ever felt something weird when something is about to happen? I felt it that night and I guess the rest is history. More than the cheesiness of this caption, gusto ko lang sabihin na I'm actually proud of myself. Maraming nabago but I'm still here, getting stronger and stronger everyday. I have a lot of good stories to tell about my Wanderland experiences and this caption can't give justice to it. And being here again, inside the Wanderland Grounds brings back a lot feels, masarap maramdaman at maalala lahat ♡
Here’s a compilation of Snapchat videos I made about my very first and undeniably memorable Wanderland experience (best viewed using mobile phone or tablet):
Thanks to Karpos Multimedia, Globe, and everyone on the list below for making this event possible. 😘
