Who woke up early in the morning of February 4 and watch the much-awaited Super Bowl XLVII? It was worth the wait, right? Me, jumping in with my pajamas and catch the 7:30am opening of the most talked about and most watched NFL game in the world and of course, everybody knows Super Bowl is THE manliest sport in the world. And anyone who ever begs to differ, obviously hasn’t had to face a guy with a howitzer for an arm (AKA Football players).
I woke up just before the game starts and saw how the Baltimore Ravens took the advantage of San Francisco 49ers at the first quarter of the game and eventually leading to a 34-31 win by the Ravens.
I was also one of those who waited for the half-time show where Queen Beyoncé showcased her live singing prowess and the surprise reunion of Destinys Child. And oh yes, millions of fans waited for the showing of Super Bowl ads and everyone were betting who will get the most viewed ads during that game. Apart from having an excuse to chest/fist/insert body part here bump your way into anything, Super Bowl is also an ingenious way of selling products to the mindless manly masses (including me) subconsciously. It’s the time when boys act like boys but feel like men, and end up buying more products than they usually would. And if you’re anything like me, then you’ll surely enjoy these commercials.
So who wins in the battle of the Super Bowl XLVII commercials?
Ladies, and gents, my list of Superbowl’s manliest ads: from how to be one, becoming one, and just plain showing off (I’m looking at you Dwane).
Audi 2013 ad – Now, if I had this car, I’d have super confidence and BRAVE too!
See, now this makes me want to buy milk.
How about the Go Daddy ad? Who would have skipped this? Was it really a Perfect Match or just plain Awkward Kiss? Beats me!
And just as an extra, the new Blackberry commercial. I don’t know this just makes me want to buy one. And be a man. Or something like that.
So who’d you think won?
But wait, this one I’m sure topped it all! Alright, alright AXE. Nothing beats being a HERO! Brilliant? Of course!
