NEW ALBUM RELEASE. Why is Itchyworms’ After All This Time an emotional album for the band?

Currently listening to After All This Time and we can say that this is a great album from Itchyworms – not to be the best because almost all of their albums are great, so no point in comparing.

After All This Time, the song, is a break from the usual comic novelty music that the bans is famous for. Have you heard of “Akin Ka Na Lang” and “Beer?” Anyways, After All This Time, the album, is indpendently released by the band and has 16 tracks in it, including our favorite “Ayokong Tumanda” which has three versions. Cool!

One more, there’s a collaboration here with Joey ‘Pepe’ Smith, the great granddaddy of Philippine Rock n’ Roll throught he band’s cover song “Panahon” which is an original Juan dela Cruz’s hit in the 70s.

We also like “Maling Akala“, an original Eraserheads hit back from the 90s. While we are listening to this cover, it seems that we are time-travelling back in the 90s. Itchyworms “Maling Akala” version jst captured the Ultraelectromagneticpop Eheads days!

And if you think this album has given it all through the tracks included, wait until you listen to “Lost In Space with Rey Langit!” Man, this is just awesome. We can listen to this track over and over, repeatedly, again and again. So, redundant!

So what makes After All This Time such an emotional album for Itchyworms?

Jazz Nicolas, drums and lead vocals, dad just recently passed away making this album a sort of a tribute for the old man. Itchyworms members claim that Jazz‘s father is almost like a dad to everyone of them. Jazz’s dad was the one who first helped them record their first songs. Unfortunately and during the After All This Time album launch held at Centris, Jazz couldn’t make it because as Jugs Jugueta, rhythm guitar and vocals, had to take care of some business that their band-mate’s father left to settle. Jazz will be back joining the group in the coming days.

The major sponsors of After All This Time Centris launch were First Academy of Computer Arts and Odyssey Music.

After All This Time is out and available now. If you want have a blast, buy it!
